PAI is a nonprofit public interest research organization focused on corporate and government accountability. We specialize in researching and mapping power.


Catalyst: A Journal of Theory and Strategy launched with the aim of doing everything it can to promote and deepen this conversation. Our focus is, as our title suggests, to develop a theory and strategy with capitalism as its target — both in the North and in the Global South. It is an ambitious agenda, but this is a time for thinking big. is the oldest and largest online community of Democratic Party and progressive activists, with over 2 million subscribers. Our vision was to create the leading news and community Web site for the progressive base of the Democratic Party, in order to lead the fight against the radical right and the Republican Party.
